There is a phrase I’ve been seeing a lot of lately, and I really love it. Its simple and I feel it captures what I know deep down inside – love is love. I’ve started a new playlist of out and proud artists. There are so many talented artists that I’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy just because of the circles I move in. Thanks to Spotify (my new favorite place to listen to music), now I get to share my favorite music with you. You can subscribe to Love is Love playlist directly in Spotify and you’ll be kept up to date every time I add songs. If there are out artists that you know of please share them with me… Happy listening!
If you’ve been following my blog for some time, you’ll know I’m a Marshall Titus fan – I’m also blessed to count him as a friend. So you know I love this foot stompin’, soul stirrin’, downhome feelin’, finger lickin’ number about feeling good even when everything is going wrong… Listen and be inspired… then support this brother.
On Monday, July 16 at 2:30 pm, Marshall Titus and I will return to the The Broadway Youth Center (BYC) to facilitate another songwriting workshop. One of the programs the BYC offers is RAWR! (Radical Awesome Writers Resisting), they meet on Mondays and Fridays from 2:30 – 4 pm to develop poetry and writing skills.
The Broadway Youth Center is a program of Howard Brown Health Center and community partners, offering comprehensive services to youth, ages 12-24 including a safe space for young people experiencing homelessness.
There isn’t much I can say about this new track from I’m happy to call my friend Marshall Titus except… I LOVE it!!! When we were doing our interview for RadioGBM, Marshall played it for me and explained the concept of the song and the upcoming music video – I can’t wait to see it, in the meantime listen and enjoy THE ZONE
