I’m honored to be performing at the Kansas City’s Memorial Quilt Dinner and paying homage to all the souls we’ve lost to AIDS.  I will be personally remembering my friends James and Donovan on this special night.  Read the article in Camp Magazine.

Gay Love Song

Nhojj | March 18th, 2010 - 3:52 pm

A Gay Love Song – a same gender loving version of the classic “Someone to Watch over me.” I’ve always loved this song and I always sing it with the male pronoun because that is my truth. I hope you enjoy it:)

Barbados Music Awards 2009 Performance

Nhojj | January 9th, 2009 - 10:31 am

The Barbados Music Awards was such a magical night. R&B legend Regina Belle was sitting in the audience (I heard she took a picture of me while I was performing). A big thank you to Walter Greene and Ronnie Morris for making this happen, and for Kirk Shannon-Butts for great styling.

Stormy Monday Blues

Nhojj | December 7th, 2008 - 9:00 pm

“They call it Stormy Monday” – when I first heard Bobby Blue Bland singing this song, I knew I had to perform it. I’m in love with the blues now… lol I performed this at the Verve show at the Brooklyn Society of Ethical Culture.

LGBT Artists Jazz in New York City

Nhojj | August 15th, 2008 - 11:41 am

Thanks to Rome Neal, I and a number of LGBT artists had the opportunity to perform jazz standards at the Nuyorican Poet’s Cafe in the East Village. This was the Tribute to LGBT artists and LGBT Jazz Greats.   Each performer did a song by an LGBT Jazz Great – like Cole Porter, Bessie Smith and Andy Bey.  We did the show at Joe’s Pub and then at Rome Neal’s banana pudding jazz series.
