Amazing Grace has been performed my many of our Musical Legends. If we accept and embrace these different versions of Amazing Grace, I believe we can accept and embrace the different versions of humanity that live in this world.

This was an amazing experience for me… singing “His Eye is on the Sparrow” in LGBTQ affirming church. Rehoboth Temple (now Rivers of Rehoboth) in Harlem has LGBTQ ministers, and welcomes everyone. It was so affirming to reclaim this gospel music that I grew up singing, and sing for a group of people who really understood what I was singing about.
