2 of my friends, James and Donovan, passed on because of AIDS.  I wanted to pay tribute to their memory in the best way I knew how – with music.  “James Donovan” is the result.  I will always remember my two friends.

“Spring Rain” is an internet collaboration.  I met Mike Ibrahim on myspace and instantly loved his music.  It was a pleasant surprise that he liked mine as well, so we decided to work together… but Mike lives in Paris and I live in NYC – so we emailed music files back and forth.  Mike wrote this beautiful song.

“Dream” is my mantra for life.  It was one of the easiest songs [to write] on this CD, I read a lot of motivational and inspiring books.  “Dream” is me sharing what I’ve learnt in the best way I know how – through music.

I heard this track and fell in love with it.  It felt a lot like Jill Scott and I love her work.  Jon Evans, my producer played a big role in making this song what it is.   I like to write my lyrics, because I want the songs to truly be reflect who I am and what I’m reaching for.
